shame
She seems helpless, so fragile is her psychotic nature, was she cursed with it at birth or did it creep slowly in. It's hard to tell, though the origin would neither ease or cease her pain. People want to help, they see a hurt child, an adult needing supervision, she can't function without them, without their approval.
She craves it, she needs it, she gives everything to earn it. The cost never too high, no action is ever too low, no pride is there to be found.
The attention hits like a summer breeze on a hot august day, it's brief touch so quickly over, the heat then sets in.
Now previous actions brings shame and that without attention soon becomes too unbearable, it's hard to see, it's hard to hear.
Pain is her condition, relentlessly and well hidden, one try to help as one can, but can it be helped by forces outside the walls.
Does the pain excuse her actions, does her behavior excuse the lack of yours.
It is isolating, it is horrible, it is a pity.
